Salary: £10.55 per hour

Would you like to be at the cutting edge of a brand new venture? Henwick Primary School is launching its own Extended Schools provision, ‘Konnections’, and this is a unique opportunity to be part of this from the beginning.

We are looking for Play Workers to support this venture. You will need to be passionate about ensuring that children are given a fun, engaging and interesting learning experience at Konnections and must be able to work as part of a team to ensure that the needs of the children are always met.

You must be enthusiastic and enjoy working with children, be reliable and have a good record of time keeping.

The sessions will run from 3.00 pm – 6.30 pm term time only initially and you may be required to stay later if the needs of the club require this. The role may change over a period of time and it is important that you are adaptable to ensure that the needs of the children are at the heart of everything we do.

A knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Curriculum would be an advantage.

Henwick Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and visitors to share this commitment.  References will be requested for all candidates invited for interview, and the successful candidate will need to have a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

The closing date for this post is noon on Friday 28th June 2019; interviews will be held during week commencing 1st July 2019.  Application forms should be returned by email to Elinor Kane ( or by post to:

People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons.

For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them.

For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge.

If you feel this is something you are interested in please express your interest via a letter addressed to the Headteacher.

The letter can be handed in to the Office or be posted to:
