School Dinners
There are two choices of lunchtime arrangement for children at Henwick:
School dinners
The Mayor of London is ensuring all primary school children who attend state schools in London will receive free school meals for the full academic year, starting this September 2023. This means that your child and all children in our school will be entitled to free nutritious school meals next year. Please see the Dinner Arrangements Policy for further information.
Packed lunch
Eat a packed lunch brought from home. We do ask that fizzy drinks, glass bottles and sweets are not included in packed lunches
In the interests of safety, pupils who have packed lunches are reminded of the risk to other pupils of bringing in to school items of food that may trigger an allergic reaction eg peanut allergy.
At Henwick School we promote healthy eating and to support the school’s commitment to healthy lifestyles we encourage all pupils to bring water into school to drink. Water containers can be accessed throughout the school day at designated times planned by the Class teacher. All plastic drinks containers should be marked with the child’s name.
Fresh fruit is also made available each day free of charge for pupils in the Early Years and in Year 1 and Year 2.
